Life Painting Masterclass with Richard Kitson

10am - 4pm, with lunch and breaks throughout.

Join us for a very special day of painting with renowned artist Richard Kitson!

Guest tutor Richard will guide our group as we paint, and through a series of demonstrations and tuition we will each build a painting of our life model Alice.

Important Info:

Please bring your own materials - a materials list will be provided. Leeds Drawing Club is happy to source materials for you and have them ready at the studio for the class - please let us know at the time of booking. 

Students are recommended to use oil paint (please use odourless solvent!), but acrylic paint can also be used (please use a retarder) 

Please bring your lunch! We have a fridge that you can store your food and drinks.

Tea, coffee and biscuits will be provided throughout the day.

About your Tutor:

Richard Kitson is a figurative and portrait artist based in Barnsley, South Yorkshire.

His work has been featured in prestigious exhibitions, including the Herbert Smith Freehills Kramer Portrait Award at the National Portrait Gallery, London, the Royal Society of Portrait Painters, the Ruth Borchard Self-Portrait Prize, Figurative Art Now, and the Cork Street Open. 

Kitson has exhibited across the UK and internationally and was a participant in Sky Arts Portrait Artist of the Year 2018. His paintings are held in a variety of public and private collections, and he continues to offer portrait commissions and workshops in Barnsley and Yorkshire.
