Live action drawing with South Asian Arts UK
Sketch and draw from life during a dance lesson held by South Indian Music Academy.
Drawing Club has been granted unique access to South Indian Music Academy dance lessons, to be able to observe and draw from life, as a group of young dancers are taught 2 of the major forms of Indian classical dance – Bharatanatyam and Kathak.
Continuous Observational drawing
Subjects will be constantly moving
Good for building composition and capturing movement.
Boards, paper and charcoal provided, please feel free to bring your own materials.
Please arrive 5 minutes before the classes are due to start.

Get Creative is a campaign that celebrates and supports the everyday creativity happening in homes and public spaces across the UK. Get Creative aims to inspire people to try something new at home or at a Get Creative event and to encourage people to share their own examples of everyday creativity. The campaign works with arts, cultural and community organisations to create participatory events that are accessible for everyone. It also aims to raise and increase the profile of grassroots practice within communities, using different BBC platforms and beyond. This event is a collaboration between South Asian Arts UK and Leeds Drawing Club
