Leeds Drawing Club is back!
We have re-opened our classes at Meanwood Road and will continue to run weekly Daytime and Evening Life Drawing Sessions every Wednesday.
We will continue to run life drawing classes every month at Cafe 164, on a Thursday.
We are so excited to be part of your drawing practice!
It’s important to everyone that we comply with Gov guidelines to maintain social distancing and a best practice of hygiene to enable our artists and life models to confidently enjoy a life drawing class in the safest way possible.
We have put together our Studio Guidelines for coming to draw.
Covid – Levy
We have added a levy to the class prices, to accommodate for the reduced class sizes.
This is to enable us to take the first step to running classes again, to help us stay sustainable, so we can meet our running costs.
This is in the form of a mandatory surcharge of £3.50 per class.
A lot of people have offered to donate too, so after a few requests, we have also added the option to increase your surcharge to £5 if you wish.
Our Changes to Ensure Everyones Safety.
Studio classes are limited to 10 people plus life model and host.
Cafe 164 classes will be limited to 6 people plus life model and host.
Hand sanitising station at the entrance of studio and cafe that we ask everyone to use as they come in.
We will draw ‘in the round’ with a 2 metre distance between each artist’s easel, and between the life model and each artist.
All artists and life models are not required to wear a face covering when stationary during each drawing session, but please wear a face covering when moving around the space.
We will provide charcoal, paper, boards and bull dog clips, and easels at every class, but not any other type of drawing material.
We encourage everyone to bring their own materials to use, but if you prefer or need to use ours, please only take what you intend to use, and take it away with you at the end of the class.
Please bring your own cup for hot drinks during the breaks, alternatively we have disposable cups too.
Hand washing and toilet facilities at both venues will remain open and fully cleaned in between classes.
All chairs, easels, bulldog clips and boards will be cleaned in between classes.
